作品を発表するごとに話題を呼び、国内外で高い評価を獲得してきた大田原愚豚舎最新作『叫び声』は、北関東郊外の農村を舞台に、年老いた祖母とふたりで暮らす豚飼いの男が豚舎で黙々と働く姿を、極限まで言葉を排した映像で綴る異色の人間ドラマ。

鮮烈でシャープなモノクロ映像、執拗で徹底 的なミニマル描写、実験的で挑発的な音響効果、感情を掻きむしるような土着的な映画音楽等、これまでの大田原愚豚舎作品の特性を踏襲しながら、その世界をさらに進化・深化させ、何者にも到達し得ない新たな境地を切り拓いている。

Their latest work, set in a rural area in the suburbs, portrays in black and white and without words a man who lives with his aging grandmother and works silently in a pigpen.
